Monthly Rainbow Warrior ($20)

Right now, somewhere in Medina County, a teenager is hiding who they are.
A parent is trying to support their child while feeling completely alone.
A senior is afraid to enter assisted living because they worry they’ll have to go back into the closet.
A young adult is choosing between paying bills and buying clothing that finally lets them feel like themselves.
And every week, more people are finding their way to MoE’s Closet looking for something many of us take for granted:
acceptance, safety, dignity, and community.

What started as a small act of love has quickly grown into something much bigger than a clothing program. MoE’s Closet has become a lifeline — providing gender-affirming clothing, resources, encouragement, and human connection to LGBTQ+ individuals and families across Medina County and beyond.

But we are running out of room.

Right now, services are limited by space. Clothing racks are overflowing. Private conversations happen wherever we can make room. Community meetings, support groups, youth activities, educational workshops, and wellness programs are at the mercy of room rentals, funds & availability.

The need is growing faster than we can keep up.

That’s why The Rainbow Society of Medina County is working to create a true Rainbow Center — a welcoming, affirming community space where people can gather, access resources, receive support, build friendships, attend events, and simply exist without fear or judgment.

A dedicated center would allow us to:

• Expand MoE’s Closet services
• Create safer private support spaces
• Host support groups and community events
• Offer educational workshops and outreach programs
• Build youth and family programming
• Connect people with affirming resources and services
• Create a visible reminder that LGBTQ+ people belong here, too

For some people, this may be just another building.
For others, it could be the first place they ever feel safe being themselves.
Your donation helps us move one step closer to opening doors that our community desperately needs. Every dollar helps provide hope, visibility, dignity, and belonging to people who are too often told they have none.
