SECTION 1 — ABOUT THE CONTEST

Create the Pride.

The The Rainbow Society Of Medina County is inviting LGBTQIA+ artists from Medina County to help create the official design for Medina Pride 2027.

Artists may submit up to four original designs for consideration. Five finalists will be selected for public voting, and one winning design will become the featured artwork for official Medina Pride 2027 merchandise and promotions.

Contest entry fees and a portion of Pride merchandise proceeds will help establish the upcoming Rainbow Scholarship Fund — supporting LGBTQIA+ students pursuing education, certification, and workforce training while building their future in Ohio.

SECTION 3 — WHO CAN ENTER

Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Identify as LGBTQIA+
• Be residents of Medina County, Ohio
• Be age 16 or older
• Submit original artwork only

SECTION 4 — SUBMISSION DETAILS

How To Apply

Step 1 — Pay Entry Fee

• $5 per design submission
• Maximum of 4 submissions per artist

Step 2 — Complete Application Form

Applicants will provide:

• Name
• Contact information
• Short artist bio
• Optional social media links
• Artist statement about their design

Step 3 — Email Your Artwork

Design files must be emailed to:

Artwork Requirements

• Transparent PNG format
• Minimum 300 DPI
• Recommended size: 4500 x 5400 px
• Family-friendly / Pride appropriate
• Must include “Medina Pride 2027” OR allow space for official branding

SECTION 5 — FINALIST & VOTING PROCESS

How Winners Are Chosen

• A selection panel will choose the Top 5 finalists
• Finalists will be announced October 1st
• Public online voting will determine the winning design
• One finalist per artist maximum

SECTION 6 — WINNER PRIZE PACKAGE

Winner Receives

• Official “2027 Medina Pride Artist” recognition
• Custom hoodie or shirt featuring the winning design
• Artist credit on select merchandise
• Featured artist bio page on the Rainbow Society website
• Featured social media spotlight/interview
• Recognition during Medina Pride promotions

Optional future note:

As the Rainbow Scholarship Fund grows, future contests may include expanded prize opportunities.

SECTION 7 — RIGHTS & USAGE

Artist Rights

• Artists retain ownership of non-winning submissions
• The winning artist grants the Rainbow Society commercial usage rights for the selected 2027 Pride design
• Winning artwork may be adjusted slightly for print or production purposes
• By entering, artists confirm all submitted work is original and does not infringe on copyrighted material
