The Rainbow Society of Medina County
The Rainbow Society of Medina County is a grassroots, community-driven organization dedicated to creating safe, inclusive, and affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ individuals, their families, and allies.
Based in Medina, Ohio and serving the LGBTQ+ community of Medina County.
Founded in 2024, we work to connect, educate, and empower our community through events, advocacy, and direct support. Our vision is simple: a Medina County where everyone can live openly, authentically, and without fear.

Why We're Here
Community Events – From family-friendly gatherings like Medina Sweet Street to networking mixers and awareness campaigns, we create opportunities to connect and celebrate diversity.
MoE’s Closet – Our gender-affirming clothing and resource program provides free clothing and accessories for individuals exploring or expressing their authentic selves.
Advocacy & Education – We work with schools, businesses, and local leaders to foster understanding, inclusion, and policy change.
Future Plans – We’re working toward establishing a Medina LGBTQ+ Community Center to serve as a safe hub for resources, meetings, and programs.

Founded in 2024 by Rev. Carrie Cochran (She/Her) -Carrie stands firmly in her belief that

The Rainbow Society of Medina County exists to build a safer, more inclusive community where everyone can belong, be seen, and thrive.
Rooted in the principles of equity, education, and empowerment, the Rainbow Society works to support LGBTQ+ individuals and allies throughout Medina County through local events, outreach programs, and collaborative partnerships.
From our gender-affirming closet and community resource initiatives to our advocacy and celebration of diversity, we believe visibility saves lives, compassion creates change, and that “Better Tomorrows, Together!” isn’t just a tagline
